Welcome to the Northwest Friesian Horse Club!
Hello, Guest
The Northwest Friesian Horse Club (NWFHC) is proudly recognized as a Regional Chapter affiliated with the Friesian Horse Association of North America (FHANA), which is the official North American representative of the Dutch Registry, the Friesch Paarden-Stamboek (FPS).
This club is for people who love the Friesian horse, want to learn more about the breed, have fun and meet fellow Friesian horse owners. Owning a horse is not a requirement.
The NWFHC final event of 2007 was held at Will & Teresa Bron’s in Granger, WA. Club members enjoyed riding and driving through the orchards and a fun filled Friesian Play Day! Events included a timed obstacle course, traditional bareback Friesian trotting race, champagne (with beer) race, driven obstacle course, and another Friesian tradition, Rinkje riding.
Several of our creative NWFHC Members offered a new competition dubbed, "Husband Keuring"! The three very amusing "Judges" provided a running commentary that kept all of us in hysterics as each runner presented their husbands complete with white Keuring bridles. Seems a few of us need to get some younger studs into our barns.
In 2008, the final event for the NWFHC was also held at Will & Teresa Bron's in Granger, WA. We had a ride and drive through the orchards, scavenger hunt through the orchards, and an obstacle course through their outdoor arena. While the weather was not as good as it could have been, everyone still had a lot of fun.
